Doctor Who

Whovian back from the Holidays

Sorry for the long hiatus. The holidays really took it out of me.

I needed a little break from the Underwater scene so I decided to start work on a TARDIS model to go along with my Amy Pond model. Will probably do a little work on her before finishing up the underwater scene.

Here are the results along with a new gallery section. The image below is an early render from Marmoset before I added in wear and tear with dDo.

Check out the new gallery page too!

Hair WIP

Interesting technique for making hair. I likey. Start with a ZSphere and use ZSketch to make the base mesh(Left Image). It then creates a unified skin(Right Image). Then you can go nuts and start sculpting in the hair. Still need to practice a lot more with the various brushes, but it's really starting to make sense.
Had to split up the model a little more. Sleeves are separate from the vest and the skirt is now also separate. So much more still left to do, but I've got to get skip ahead for class. Gonna have to cut some corners until class is done and I can revisit the sculpt. :( Will have to get the model into Maya by the end of the week so I'll have to forgo a final passes on the model til May 16th. Oh well, It'll get done soon enough.

Final class, new Project

Last class of my Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online Education!

It's been a long ride, but I'm almost done. This last one should be good. It's another Character Modeling class. I'll be creating Amy Pond in here Police Outfit from The Eleventh Hour. Needed a female character to add to my portfolio so why not her I said. I'm following Ryan Kingslien's book Realistic Game Characters so it should be good. Gonna end up doing most of the work in ZBrush.

Here's a drawing I did to familiarize myself with the character.
