Sculpted this Skull up in ZBrush so that I could educate myself on the muscles of the face. It's based off a real skull that my doctor let me borrow. Used calipers to get precise measurements on nasal cavity and eye spacing. I then found some references for forensic facial markers and added those in using 3DS Max. I was then able to add in the various facial muscles to try and reconstruct what this man may have looked like. I took the liberty of adding in the clavicles and sternum so that I could also sculpt the SCM (Sternocleidomastoid) and part of the Trapezius. I'll probably revisit this and focus on the throat muscles at some point so that I can better learn those as well.
